Why This Course?
Recent developments and corporate failures locally and around the world have once more heighten the need for increased effectiveness of corporate governance and risk management practices.
The Board and Senior Management have a critical role to play to institute effective governance and it is therefore imperative that they step up and be crystal clear on their roles and duties.
In Malaysia, we are proud to be among the earliest in this region to adopt and mandate corporate governance in corporations for the past two decades. Although there have been numerous news featuring some local corporate shenanigans and their below-par Corporate Governance practices, nevertheless, in a grand scheme of things, we are still being recognized by the international business communities for having one of the highest standards of Corporate Governance practices in the region.
This course is aimed to take a closer look at the current Corporate Governance framework adopted in Malaysia and corporations’ adoption of the Corporate Governance best practices.
